CUSTOMERS COMMENTS
Well, I've done almost 700 miles
in 2 days with the New MT and my thoughts so far are . . . . . worra
weapon !
Steve at
http://www.v-twinservices.co.uk has done a truly fantastic job
The engine is so well done that
you wouldn't think that anything had been done . .
The power / engine behaviour is
absolutely faultless. there are no 'holes' or instability or hunting
or hesitation or anything.
it actually runs smoother than the
last MT I had.
I'm astounded at how 'nice' it is.
Steve finished all the work
http://www.v-twinservices.co.uk/project5/index.html having been held
up by a few recalcitrant vendors for longer than he wanted and let me
know when bike was finished.
The updates and communication
throughout from steve have been fantastic.
His workmanship is something to
behold, you would never know that anyone had been inside the engine.
there is not one marked surface, there is not one marked allen bolt. brilliant.
I flew down and met up with him
(he was kind enough to pick me up from the airport) took me back to
the workshop, proffered a cuppa then we went for a run.
Three things sprang to mind on the run;
1) This bike is phenomenal
2) The roads round here are gash
3) Harleys are noisy buggers
(Steve was leading on a hawg, I had to slow down and wait for his
overtakes, but that's a different story)
So, final numbers (although I'm
more into what it 'feels' like than numbers on pieces of paper)
Top BHP on the dyno was 107 bhp
running 93 octane gas with exup valve in place, baffles in, and cats in.
Steve had suspicions of 'pinking'
and dialled in more gas which took the numbers down to 103 bhp.
Hopefully Steve can post up the
dyno chart, you have never seen anything closer to a 'textbook' chart
in your life
the tourqe line is flatter than
Kate Moss's chest.
the BHP is as linear as you could imagine.
The bike 'feels' lively, and
enthusiastic. like it's looking for the next straight to attack.
Me being a typical 'oik' have put
the bike on high octane gas and pulled the baffles
This years Akra system - baffles
sounds brilliant, not at all like a transit with a burst exhaust.
And at tickover (exup is still in)
it's as quiet as with the baffles in.
I'm absolutely delighted and
looking forwards to putting more miles on it and meeting some of you
guys now that I am once again a fully 'paid up' MT owner (again)
